The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) condemned the federal government's move to dissolve university governing bodies across the country on Thursday.  The union urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reverse his outrageous decision to dissolve the councils without finishing their terms of office. With the rising inflation and skyrocketing cost of living brought on by some of the federal government's recent economic policies, the development sparked outrage on social media platforms. Dele Alake, President Bola Tinubu's special adviser on special duties, communications, and strategy, claimed in a statement on Wednesday that some universities' increases in tuition are "discretionary charges for hostel accommodation, registration, laboratory, and other charges." They do not constitute tuition.      The Federal Government had raised tuition rates at the nation's federal universities, according to numerous news outlets earlier this week. These stories are false and untrue, the s
