HARRY KANE OF ENGLAND MAKES HIS BAYERN MUNICH DEBUT WITH LEIPZIG

The striker entered the game as a 64th-minute replacement to a loud ovation at the Allianz Arena just hours after concluding his £86 million transfer from Tottenham on Saturday.

He made a few impressions, but not many.

For Leipzig, Dani Olmo scored a hat-trick to prevent Harry Kane, 30, from winning his first professional trophy.

After a cross was not cleared, Olmo scored his first goal into the bottom corner. He spun Matthijs de Ligt with his second strike before slipping it through Sven Ulreich's legs.

After Kane's entry, the Spain attacker scored a penalty to complete his hat trick.

Once he gets to know his new team in Germany, Kane will experience better days. Given that he had only joined Bayern on the day in question, it came as a minor surprise that he was involved.

In his professional career, he has scored 354 goals and holds the scoring records for Tottenham (280) and England (58).

In light of the fact that Leipzig lost three of their top players to the Premier League this summer, their performance was all the more astounding.

Josko Gvardiol from Croatia joined Manchester City for £77 million, Dominik Szoboszlai from Hungary joined Liverpool for £60 million, and Christopher Nkunku from France transferred to Chelsea for £52 million.


Bayern, the Bundesliga champions, and Leipzig, the winners of the German Cup, compete in the German Super Cup, which is comparable to the Community Shield in England.

Last year, Bayern defeated Leipzig 5-3 to win the German Super Cup.

  A young boy 10 years, by name Ray Jordan, was being rushed to hospital with water intoxication after drinking six bottles in just one hour. Ray Jordan was rushed to Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, after suffering from water intoxication. The boy had been playing outside with his cousins during the hot weather and drank six bottles of water within an hour. Symptoms of water intoxication began to appear, including vomiting and loss of motor function. Doctors who examined him at the hospital discovered extremely low sodium levels in his blood, a condition that occurs when the kidneys can't handle excessive water intake. A TENNESSE WOMAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH A NUMBER OF DISTURBING OFFENCES, SUCH AS DOWNLOADING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND RECORDING HER DOG ENGAGING IN SEXUAL ACTS WITH HER

A woman from Tennessee has been charged with a number of disturbing offenses, including downloading child pornography and recording her dog engaging in sexual acts with her. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) filed a complaint about Stephanie Weir, 33, alerting Memphis Police to her alleged crimes, leading to her arrest on Tuesday.  When police carried out a search warrant as instructed by the NCMEC, they found the disturbing images as well as a video of Weir playing with her pet dog. The NCMEC had previously informed authorities that Weir had child pornography on an online cloud account. SHUT DOWN ENSUES: NLC BEGINS PROTEST

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced that its planned nationwide protest slated for August 2 (today) would commence at 7:30 am across the federation’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). News reports that the planned protest expresses the labour union’s displeasure over what it described as the unfavorable policies of the President Bola Tinubu-led government, especially the removal of fuel subsidy. The NLC Head of Information, Comrade Benson Upah, told journalists that workers and civil society organisations would converge at the Unity Fountain Abuja to start the protest while the state chapters will equally commence protest at the same time. Upah disclosed that NLC’s affiliate unions, through their state branches, have mobilised their members and are already for the protest.
